What do we fundraise for?
The Spring Social - Beach Bash is our largest fundraiser of the year and plays a critical role in funding essential programs, resources, and experiences that directly benefit our students. The work of the Courcelette Parent Council and the opportunities we’re able to provide would not be possible without the generosity and continued support of our community partners.

Funds raised through The Spring Social directly support initiatives that enhance our children’s learning environment and school experience, including:
❋ School Improvement ProgramA plan led by the principal and school staff to ensure a safe, modern, and engaging learning environment:
● Enhancements to the school library
● Upgraded gym equipment
● Replacement of outdated overhead projectors with new TVs and stands
● Updates to student tablets and classroom technology
❋ Spirit Days & EventsContinuing to make Courcelette P.S. a great place to learn, grow, and have fun is at the heart of what makes this school so special. Funds raised through the Parent Council help fun programming like our Movie Nights, Santa’s Breakfast, Skating Days, and DJ Dance parties at the school.
❋ Special Events, Speakers & WorkshopsEvery year, in collaboration with our teachers, principal and the parent community - we look at additional speaking opportunities, special guests, and workshops that can be hosted at the school to provided enhanced learning, engagement and fun. This year we hosted a drumming workshop, we partnered with external speakers in the area of mental health and wellness, diversity, inclusion and belonging, among others.
❋ Field Trip TransportationEnsuring all students can participate in enriching off-site learning experiences. Funds raised go to field trip transportation, diminishing the costs parent and caregivers pay for field trips at Courcelette.
❋ Engineer in the Classroom ProgramHands-on STEM learning that sparks curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
